Today we are on a 9-hour ride to our next destination - Whitehorse - the capital city of the Yukon Territory. Along the way we are on the lookout for wildlife (and spotted a wolf, 2 grizzlies, and 4 bear cubs). Where's all the moose? It seems the moose are avoiding us pretty well along this bumpy, unpaved Yukon Highway.
We stopped at the Braeburn Lodge - a roadhouse that is famous for its large cinnamon buns (and, no, I did not eat an entire sticky bun by myself). They really are huge! Every February this lodge also hosts a checkpoint in the long distance Yukon Quest sled dog race.
An hour before arriving in Whitehorse.....two moose were spotted!
